As we draw closer to the extended deadline for Written Submissions to be presented to the International Court of Justice, there has been much development in the Caribbean in this process. During my time as a one of the two youth Delegates present during this proceeding, not only was I able to learn and hear the perspectives of experts from across the Caribbean, but I was able to share mine as well.

As a young person in this space, it is imperative that our concerns are included in these conversations. With the guidance given by Aditi Sheyte, I was able to give a joint presentation alongside Muskaan Khemani (Curaçao) in which we  presented to the room how young people can be included as advocates for our generation and the ones to come, while striving to assist states in their submissions.

Headway was definitely made and we can expect to see submissions from the Caribbean and we anticipate having the Youth Climate Justice Handbook being included in this as well. All in all, the entire meeting went well and many days of planning and reorganizing, I am happy to say that the World's Youth for Climate Justice truly made it's mission felt within this room.

We in the Caribbean Front are grateful to have seen this through to this end, and we look forward to completing this mission as we draw nearer to the written submissions deadline.
